Learning for Well-being outlines a journey towards realising one’s unique potential through holistic development—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual—in relation to oneself, others, and the environment. Inspired by international resolutions on children and well-being definitions, the framework provides an ecological perspective on achieving potential within societal contexts. It emphasises developing capacities to live fully and offers a common language for addressing all aspects of learning and well-being across sectors. Central to this is cultivating children’s core capacities, enabling them to make choices that support their own well-being and that of others, while recognising and respecting their unique development paths.
