Learning and Well-being: An agenda for change (WISE Research)

This report explores the synergy between learning and well-being, essential for children to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives. This multidimensional relationship includes physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects (UEF, 2007). International bodies, such as the UNCRC, WHO, UNESCO, and the Council of Europe, have developed policies supporting children’s learning and well-being. Researchers from diverse disciplines are increasingly focusing on these synergies. Despite varying perspectives, an integrative framework is needed to unify approaches across sectors. This WISE Research Report proposes such a framework, combining well-being dimensions with the dynamic nature of learning.
