Role Overview

The Communications Officer at Act2gether Bolivia will be responsible for designing and implementing communication strategies from a rights-based perspective that promote the visibility of Act2gether Bolivia’s actions, ensuring quality and ethical communication aligned with the Learning for Well-being Foundation’s (L4WB-F) approach. This role includes the creation, design, editing, and dissemination of digital content and graphic materials that contribute to positioning the organisation’s messages in line with its values ​​and principles, ensuring an effective and respectful reach to diverse audiences and communities.

The Communications Officer will report directly to the Act2gether Bolivia Country Director and Programmes Coordinator and will work in close collaboration with the project implementation team. The professional will work under the Learning for Well-being communication guidelines and in coordination with the Foundation’s communications team.

Key Responsibilities

Design communication strategies:

  • Design and implement a short, medium and long-term communication strategy based on annual strategic planning.
  • Propose communication strategies for each project, programme, and action aligned with the objectives and results.

 

Digital Content Creation:

  • Design audiovisual content for various digital platforms.
  • Create text and graphics and multimedia material appropriate for the target audience of each activity, programme and project.
  • Keep informed about different field activities to generate digital content.
  • Plan and manage strategies for visibility of the actions implemented according to each programme and project to support brand positioning.
  • Analyse campaign performance and adjust strategies as needed.

 

Social Media Management:

  • Manage Act2gether Bolivia’s social networks.
  • Interact with the audience and manage the online community.
  • Analyse the statistics of the reach and performance of the actions in social networks.
  • Prepare monthly reports including statistics and metrics.

 

Media Relations Management:

  • Develop and maintain an updated media database.
  • Develop press releases, media briefings when strategic.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with journalists and media.

 

Compliance with Child Protection Policies:

  • Ensure that all communications and digital content comply with the child protection policies established by Act2gether Bolivia and the Learning for Well-being Foundation. This includes creating materials that respect the privacy and dignity of children and compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation by avoiding any content that may be harmful or inappropriate.

 

Analysis and evaluation:

  • Monitor and analyse the impact of communication actions, measuring the effectiveness of campaigns and adjusting the strategy accordingly.

Qualifications & Criteria

  • Professional with a degree in communication, graphic or audiovisual design, digital marketing or related fields (Essential).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and implementation of rights-based communication strategies, demonstrable.
  • Proficiency in English (Essential).
  • General experience in managing digital communications campaigns, managing social media for social projects, and the ability to manage multiple communications programmes while meeting deadlines and objectives.
  • Specific experience in graphic design, video, and communication support and recording of project implementation. Experience managing content creation platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms, as well as the latest trends in social media and online content.
  • Ability to interpret metrics and performance analysis, using data to adjust strategies and improve results
  • Leadership skills, strategic vision, proactivity, adaptability.
  • Interest in working in intergenerational partnership with children and young people.
  • Interest in the connection between personal and social transformation.
  • Experience and motivation for teamwork.
  • Willingness to adapt to different contexts and work in changing environments.
  • Familiarity with the social, cultural, and political context of Bolivia, especially in relation to the well-being of children.
