Implementation Officer – Act2gether Bolivia

General Information

The Learning for Well-being Foundation (L4WB-F) is looking for a motivated Implementation Officer to join the team for its Act2gether Bolivia program.

  • Location: On-site in La Paz, Bolivia. Availability and willingness to travel are required.
  • Type of contract: Full-time position
  • Duration of contract: 3-month contract, renewable
  • Remuneration: Salary negotiable according to experience.

Role Overview

The Implementation Officer will be responsible for designing, implementing and systematising the technical processes of the activities and actions of the projects underway at the institution. Their work will include identifying and resolving daily problems and needs that arise during implementation, as well as evaluating and verifying the effectiveness of these projects.

The Implementation Officer will report directly to the Project Implementation Coordinators at Act2gether Bolivia and will work closely with the project implementation team.

Key Responsibilities

Development of methodologies for project activities:

  • Review and verify the theoretical and technical profile of the formulated projects.
  • Conduct analysis of documents and data in general that contribute to the development of
    the project.
  • Create specific activities that are aligned with the project objectives and institutional guidelines.
  • Ensure that the methodologies are adapted to the context and characteristics of the population you work with.
  • Control the inventory of supplies and teaching materials and ensure adequate supplies for the project to be carried out.
  • Gather timely information to ensure the project runs smoothly.
  • Prepare teaching materials according to the methodological designs of the activities.
  • Consider the protection policies and the Act2gether approach for the development of methodological designs for activities.
  • Review regulations that support children’s rights, from the Convention on the Rights of the Child to local regulations.
  • Constantly review information about regulations, news, and research related to compliance with and restoration of children’s rights.

Implementation of project activities:

  • Develop plans in line with the work plan and the functions assigned by the Implementation Coordinator.
  • Receive ongoing training in relevant aspects for project implementation from a holistic and rights-based approach.
  • Ensure that activities encourage dialogue and participation between different generations.
  • Use appropriate facilitation techniques that promote dialogue, collaboration and involvement of participants.
  • Collect data, testimonies, and impressions of the activity, according to technical guidelines
    and instructions.
  • Have absolute knowledge of the tasks and responsibilities during the activity.
  • Guarantee and ensure the care of the material used during the activity.

Systematisation, reports and memos:

  • Prepare reports of memos of ongoing or completed activities.
  • Be familiar with the structure and type of report required for each activity.
  • Analyse the data collected during the activities for the preparation of reports or memos.
  • Document lessons learned and recommendations for future activities.
  • Implement evaluation and monitoring mechanisms and tools in all activities.
  • Store sources of verification of activities.

Communication:

  • Maintain ongoing communication regarding all activities and consultations with, immediate superior, the Country Direction and the focal point of the Learning for Well-being Foundation.

Qualifications & Criteria

  • Professional with a degree in social sciences. (ESSENTIAL)
  • Minimum of a 1 one year of demonstrable experience in project implementation.
  • Intermediate level of English. (ESSENTIAL)
  • Teamwork skills, strategic vision, proactivity and adaptability, social commitment.
