Supporting meaningful participation across philanthropy

Meaningful participation happens when children and young people are involved from the very beginning, helping shape the ideas, decisions and actions that affect their lives. This is the focus of From Learning to Action: Youth Participation Checklist for Funders, a new publication by Philea that brings together practical guidance, real-life examples and resources to help foundations embed participation across their work.

As part of the publication’s compilation of practical examples are How to Involve Children Every Step of the Way, the final module of Philea’s peer-learning journey, and We Are Here: A Child Participation Toolbox. Developed by the Learning for Well-being Foundation and Eurochild, these resources offer ways to involve children and young people in shaping policies, resources and decision-making.

We’re happy to see these resources support this collaborative effort.
