A Guide to Create Accessible Documents with and for Children is a practical resource for organisations, institutions and professionals working with children to transform complex documents into materials that are understandable, engaging and inclusive.
The guide combines practical accessibility tips with a child participation and inclusion approach. It draws on lessons from creating a child-friendly version of the European Guidelines on Mental Health and Well-being at School, developed with children from the Eurochild Children’s Council.
Using a simple recipe approach, it offers key ingredients and six practical steps to help organisations create accessible documents with and for children, adapting the process to different contexts and needs.
Developed in partnership with the Learning for Well-being Foundation and Eurochild.
